There’s a place
Where this sidewalk ends,
And the street begins,
Where the grass sprouts
soft and tender to the naked feet,
Where sun is hitting the river,
reflecting the skyline
And where,
the birds lay down,
they rested,
Where the sidewalk ended.
Why not,
leave this place,
where the smoke burns black.
Let us come out of here,
where skyscrapers cover the skies.
Let us run from here
to, where rivers meet lands.
Let us go,
where this sidewalk ends.
When this sidewalk is over,
I’ll take you to the benches,
On the banks of that river,
below that stone bridge,
we will see the century old ruins,
on other side of sidewalks.
Can we please not come back?
Can we leave the sidewalk,
and act like sidewalk ended.
But probably we will never know
Where the sidewalk ended.
